Birth of a Gamer

And so, at precisely 11:37 p.m, on the night of December 21, 2008, John Mason gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, and named her http://theneogaminggadget.blogspot.com.  Unfortunately her other parent-Windmill Jones-had died in a car crash while rushing to the delivery room.

....Hehe.  WHY must I always (sometimes) be so sarcastically violent in these openings?   Well anyway, I'm sure anyone who's looking at this blog (I'm expecting zero, but negatives would be super-awesome) might be wondering what the fuck's going on here, and the answer is simple.  After creating my first blog (The Neo Escapades) about a week ago, it dawned on me that I would be better off creating individual blogs for the various topics that interest me; after all, all of today's gaming machines have different processors and interworking parts that handle different aspects of today's games, as we've moved a LONG way from the uni-processors of times past (and are much better off that way) even though sound chips that handle, well, SOUNDS and graphics processors for graphics have been around since the Atari days (though in that ancient time kiddies, the CPU used to handle the graphics.   Can you believe that?!?  Heh don't worry; I can't believe there was ever a game company named Atari; j/k).

So, uh,..why all the gaming  talk?  Well b/c this particular blog is gonna be the hotspot for all of my gaming obsessions and electronic gadgetry of any and all proportions.  Pretty much anything's up for grabs, and there's really no holding back.  This post in particular?  Just a basic "Hey how 'ya doin'?  I'm (blank) and this is what I'm about" sort of deal, but (and my right hand is tiring slightly as I type this), but I can assure that future ones are gonna have a shitload more depth to them.  But let's wait 'till tomorrow, at the very least, to get on that shall we?  And until then, I wish you guys a great night and plug the hours away getting your Gears 2 frag fests and Rock Band smash sessions (same goes with Smash Bros.) on.  And, uh, show some indie pride folks.  Get Iji.  It's awesome.  So until next time, later out.
